- Frankfort Avenue businesses are encouraging cyclists to visit the avenue on Tuesday nights for “Two Wheel Tuesdays.” Cyclists are invited to ride along historic Frankfort Avenue beginning at 6:00pm, and enjoy food and drink specials from restaurants along the Avenue (Aztecas, Heine Bros, The Wine Rack & others) and free valet parking at Quest Outdoors (2330 Frankfort Ave.).
Organizers view “Two Wheel Tuesdays” as a casual evening for cyclists to converge to show off their bikes, talk shop, get some exercise and grab some food or shop the avenue. The evenings will be kid-friendly, with kids riding on the backs of bikes, on their own bikes or in elaborate sidecars.
“These evenings were created to welcome anyone who owns a bike – retired couples, young people, business commuters, die-hard cyclists – to join us for a casual get-together,” says Ben Evans, one of the organizers.
For more information, contact Jackie Green, Co-owner of Bike Couriers Bike Shop, at (502) 259-9000.
