The Guide to Historic Frankfort Avenue

As a FABA member, you will be listed in the annual Guide to Historic Frankfort Avenue brochure and map. More than 50,000 brochures are distributed annually through the Louisville Convention and Visitors Bureau, at FABA member locations, in hotels, as inserts in other publications, and at local attractions. All FABA members receive a listing including name, address, phone number or website, plus a description of the business. In addition, FABA members have the opportunity to advertise in The Guide to Historic Frankfort Avenue.

Beautification of Street and Banners

FABA helps to keep Frankfort Avenue looking its best through cleanup blitz programs, graffiti eradication, and spraying for weeds, in cooperation with Operation Brightside, the Board of Alderman, and the City Arborist. Historic Frankfort Avenue street banners are provided and maintained by FABA.

Special Events, Public Relations & Publicity

To heighten awareness of our various businesses, FABA presents the Annual Easter Parade and the Olde Tyme Christmas. We build community visibility with press releases and newsletters featuring activities on the street which are sent to the media and our members. Our website, www.FrankfortAve.com includes links to member businesses and information for visitors.

Networking and Organizational Clout

Get to know your neighbors! There is nothing like knowing your neighbors by name for building the kind of vibrant business community we have here on Frankfort Avenue. The extension of Frankfort Avenue to River Road gives us a direct route to water front development and potential business opportunities. Together, as a collective voice, we have a larger impact in the City's planning process in the areas of zoning, sign ordinances, parking, and other issues than we do as single businesses.
