FABA's Olde Tyme Christmas

The Frankfort Avenue Business Association's Olde Tyme Christmas on Frankfort Ave., will be held Saturday, December 1, 2007. Enjoy annual events, including the Santa Sprint Run and Stroll, Dog Walk, Horse Trams and Trolley service, along with Good Neighbor awards as well as various special events.
Enjoy special sales and exhibits, holiday refreshments, free trolley rides and horse and carriage rides up and down Frankfort Avenue - from Mellwood to Cannons Lane. Santa can usually be found at the Water Company ready to talk with children and photogenic.
Schedule of Events
9:00 a.m. - 12th Annual Santa Sprint and Stroll (8:00 a.m. Registration, 9:00 a.m. start)
A 5km (3.1 mile) run and walk, or a one mile walk, beginning at Barrett Middle School (corner of Grinstead Drive and South Peterson Avenue - enter from Peterson).The course is flat and runs along historic Frankfort Avenue in Crescent Hill and Clifton.
$17.00 early entry (postmarked by November 26), or $20.00 late entry (after November 27). All participants receive a high quality, long sleeved t-shirt, and prizes are awarded to top runners in various age groups. Proceeds benefit United Crescent Hill Ministries. 10:00 a.m. - Holiday Dog Walk - Meet at the Crescent Hill Library Parking Lot, Walk to Clifton and Frankfort and return back to Frankfort Ave. to the Library. Prizes for the most festive dog! Call 585-3430 for more information.
12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. - Santa will greet families in the tent at the Louisville Water Company
1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. - Horse Trams and Free Trolley service up and down Frankfort Avenue
2:00 p.m. Good Neighbor Award and the "Golden Antler" Award for Best Decorated block will be presented in front of Margaret's Consignment.
4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. - Peterson-Dumesnil House Foundation Candlelight Tour of Cherished Homes. Tickets are $12 and may be purchased at Margaret's Consignments, 2700 Frankfort Ave or at http://www.petersondumesnil.org
Special Events:
World Communities of Louisville, Inc. will host an International Holiday Bazaar with food and craft vendors, plus entertainment at the Clifton Center (2117 Payne Street) from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. This is the Fourth Annual Holiday World Bazaar featuring:
• Approximately 35 international craft vendors and artists selling their goods in time for holiday gift giving
• A dozen international restaurants and food vendors serving ethnic cuisine and beverages
• International musicians and dancers providing entertainment
• Children’s activities.
